By recirculating the wort through the coil with a pump, you can gently stabilize and heat it, reducing the risk of scorching or deactivating essential enzymes. This method offers a more controlled and effective process compared to directly firing your mash.

Additionally, the HERMS coil allows for step mashing, giving you greater flexibility over your brewing process beyond single infusion mashes. Enhanced temperature control results in more consistent batches with higher efficiency. Plus, continuous recirculation helps produce exceptionally clear wort.
